[Women's Tennis] Indiana Tech Takes Women's Tennis Tournament Title

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - (Tournament Page) - Top-seeded Indiana Tech repeated as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Tennis Tournament champions after defeating No. 2 UNOH 4-0. With the weather deteriorating, host Cornerstone moved the championship match from Gainey Tennis Center indoors to the Grand Rapids Racquet Club.
Indiana Tech won the doubles point and finished three singles competitions. Vero Jimenez won at No. 1 Singles, Abigail Simms won at No. 2 Singles, and Marianna Murcia won at No. 3 Singles.
The Warriors now receive the league's automatic berth to the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship in Mobile, Ala. May 17-21.
