Duke Recruiting: Scheyer The Terminator Schutts Another One Down!

Remember when everyone worried when Jeff Capel left Duke for Pitt that he might take his recruiting mojo with him?
We weren’t concerned about that because we knew that Jon Scheyer was developing into a really great recruiter himself and sure enough, if anything, recruiting got better.
Now that he’s recruiting for his own program, starting in the spring, Scheyer is off to a great start having gotten commitments from Five-star prospects Kyle Filipowski and Dariq Whitehead.
Well the hits just keep rolling as Scheyer now has a commitment from hot shooting guard Jalen Schutt. He’s moved up fast and is now seen as a four-star recruit and currently ranked #47 nationally, for what that's worth. Not much, but his rapid improvement certainly is.
