The Cavs guard has been selected for the Australian National Team.

In addition to Kevin Love, the Cavaliers will have a second representative at the upcoming Olympics Games in Tokyo: Matthew Dellavedova.

On Saturday, the Basketball Australia announced its roster for the Olympics featuring Dellavedova, Spurs guard Patty Mills, Jazz wing Joe Ingles, Rockets guard (and ex-Cav) Dante Exum and 76ers wing Matisse Thybulle.

Notable names not on the roster include Ben Simmons (who opted not to play) and possible 2021 lottery pick Josh Giddey.

This will be Dellavedova’s third Olympics and a chance for him to get some court time (even if he doesn’t start) after a concussion and other injuries cost him 47 games to open last season. He came back in April, but suffered a neck strain soon after that ended his season.

Dellavedova is set to be a free agent this summer, but it’s possible he’s back on another one-year deal to be a veteran backup and voice in the locker room.
