[Men's Golf] Lawrence Tech Wins Men's Golf Tournament and Championship

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - (FINAL RESULTS) - Lawrence Tech shot its lowest round of of the event on the final 18 holes to win the 2021 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Golf Tournament at Bedford Valley Golf Club. The Blue Devils carded a 299 to take the five-stroke victory at 919 for +55 on the par-72 course (6,898 yards). This is the first year that the league did not sponsor fall jamborees to determine the conference champion. Previous years saw a fall comprised of 3-4 jamborees that determined the regular-season champion and the spring event determined the automatic qualifier to nationals. 

Luis Pacheco emerged as the individual medalist after a four-hole playoff with Riley Hestwood of Aquinas. Pacheco had rounds of 75-77-73 for a total of 255 at nine over.  

Madonna also shot a low round of 299 on the final day, but a 317 on the second day was the difference as the Crusaders finished second at 924 for +60. Aquinas rounded out the top 3 at 941 for +77.
