[Cal Pac] FALL UPDATE: Golf, XC Begin Competition; Basketball Tips Off

While California Pacific Conference team sports have been rescheduled to the start of 2021, where local guidelines allow, several Cal Pac schools have begun competition in individual sports, and Marymount California's Isabel Prado has made the most of the early start in women's golf.  The Mariners' senior opened the 2020 fall schedule with a first-place finish at the Vanguard Invitational at Bella Collina Towne Golf Club in San Clemente, Calif., on Sept. 21-22.  Prado fired a 73 in her first round, providing a two-stroke lead going into the second round of the day, where she responded with a 69 to push her lead to four strokes. Prado led all golfers in par 4 scoring, par 5 scoring, birdies, and eagles. Prado was even through par 4 scoring, 6-under in par 5 scoring, and recorded 10 birdies and one eagle.  On day 2, Prado carded another 69, six strokes ahead of the nearest competitor.  She finished with a combined score of 211 on the tournament that gave her the victory by 10 strokes.
