Ramel Lloyd Jr. has been racking up the offers.

Lloyd, the 6-foot-6, 190-pound small forward from Taft (CA), has picked up offers from Illinois, Washington, Rutgers and Oklahoma State since college coaches began reaching out to 2022 prospects on Monday.

He broke down each school for ZAGSBLOG:

Illinois: “[They’re] a Big Ten school. I love their fast pace and tempo. I enjoy watching how they utilize a similar type of big guard in Ayo Dosumnu. It’s a great environment there and I love that.”

Washington: “Coach [Mike] Hopkins coached my dad at Syracuse and they are really close. Coach Hop is a player’s coach, which I like. They’ve had a lot of long and lengthy guys like me go there and succeed. It’s a top school in the Pac 12 which I love.”

Rutgers: “Another big-time school in the Big Ten. I really enjoyed the conversation that I had with Coach [Karl] Hobbs and what he told me I could do there. They seem like a program on the rise which is nice to see.”

Oklahoma State: “I had a great talk with Coach [Mike] Boynton and it’s a great school. I love the idea of playing in a major conference like the Big 12. Their playing style is something that I really enjoy.”

Since Monday, Lloyd has also heard from BYU, Tulsa, Arkansas, Georgetown, UCLA, Gonzaga, Arizona State, Washington State, San Diego State, Arizona, California, Florida State and UC Santa Barbara.

He also holds offers from Kansas, Arizona State, Arkansas, Dayton, DePaul, Fresno State, Georgetown, UMass, St. John’s, TCU, UNLV, USC and Washington, among others.

According to 247Sports, Lloyd is ranked as the No. 22 ranked small forward and No. 70 overall player in the Class of 2022.
