[Men's Basketball] UAV Opens NAIA Championship with WAU
Antelope Valley will tip off its First Round game of the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Championship against Washington Adventist (Md.) tomorrow night in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Pioneers (27-4), the #3 seed in the Naismith Bracket, will take on the #6 Shock (23-8) at 7:45 p.m. PDT, pitting two teams that enter the postseason with very similar credentials. Cal Pac Player of the Year Ronnie Rousseau III and Cal Pac Coach of the Year Jordan Mast lead UAV, the winners of the California Pacific Conference regular season and conference tournament titles. Headlining WAU, which competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (AII), are Player of the Year Xavier Sewell and Coach of the Year Patrick Crarey II.
