Elder, who is averaging a team-best 18.3 points per game on 46.6 percent shooting from the field, has also averaged 7.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per outing for the Bears. The senior wing has been critical at every stop as his offensive firepower has allowed Shawnee State to accumulate a 17-9 overall record and the school's highest ranking ever at No. 22 overall.

With the 17 wins, Elder has helped Shawnee State match a win total that it hasn't reached since the 2004-05 season. The 2019-20 season will also mark the Bears' first season with a winning record since the 2012-13 campaign.
