Davis, also known as Troy Bolton, hails from Portsmouth West High School, where he overcame nagging injuries and getting cut from the high school varsity squad during his sophomore and junior seasons to make this year's version of the SSU men's basketball roster.
Davis has been a critical component to getting the Bears prepared with his consistent energy level and play in practice, and it's led to a 15-5 overall record and a No. 25 overall ranking for the men -- the second such ranking inside the NAIA Division I Top 25 in program history.
