[Women's Soccer] UNOH Captures Women's Soccer Championship
UNOH controlled its own destiny in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) women's soccer season. Heading into the final weekend, the Racers held a half-game advantage over Aquinas. UNOH held off a charging Lawrence Tech team in the final regular season game to finish undefeated in WHAC play at 11-0-0.
It's the 17th time a team has finished the regular season unbeaten and the 12th time undefeated with no ties. The Racers gave up only six goals in conference race while tallying 50 goals. UNOH is now tied with Madonna for the second-most championships at six. The Racers hold five solo titles (2104, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019) and one shared title (2016). Siena Heights leads the way with eight titles.
The Racers will hold the top seed in the upcoming WHAC Tournament and have earned the league's first automatice berth to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
