Wanda opened up about whether or not Kevin Durant should have played.

Not on Mama Durant’s watch will anyone question the character and integrity of her son in the aftermath of his Achilles rupture in game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Wanda Durant took to Twitter to address those critics who questioned Kevin Durant’s toughness and commitment to the team and the game.

“For all of you who question my son as a man, question his heart, question his integrity, and question his LOVE for the game of basketball, you DON’T know him,” she tweets. “ He has a heart of a true Warrior! This too shall pass. God bless you all”

Her message continued Tuesday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America during an interview with Robin Roberts where she once again addressed Durant’s critics.

Wanda admitted to Roberts that she tried to keep herself out of the fray, but when it came to the people who speculated that Durant faked an injury, she believed that it was harsh and over the line because that was questioning her son’s integrity and character. When asked whether or not her response was for those who were questioning the original calf injury, Wanda confirmed and gave her reasoning.

“Over the years. The last few years, there has been some questioning about who he was as a person. His heart for people. His love for his teammates, and his love for the game. It was really painstaking because my son is an adult now and the NBA is his employer, I chose not to respond. After they questioned him about an injury and faking an injury and using the injury for his benefit. I felt that was really harsh because that compromised his character, his integrity, and I know that’s not who my son is.”

She also thanked the fans for their outpouring of support.
