[WHAC] LTU's Jaramillo Participates in ARC Collegiate Leadership Program.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - (read more from LTUathletics.com) - Lawrence Tech men's soccer midfielder Juan Jaramillo returned from Washington, D.C. after spending the first part of the summer in the American Red Cross Collegiate Leadership Program. He's the 16th participant from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) since the program started in 2008.

The program provides student-athletes with the opportunity to develop leadership skills and inspire a new generation of volunteers by organizing blood drives for their classmates and community. Jaramillo's experience began with training, mentoring, and networking during a two-week internship at Red Cross headquarters. The internship provides participating students the chance to receive coaching from Red Cross senior leadership.  Jaramillo also received a $2,000 scholarship for participating in the program.
