[Women's Lacrosse] Women's Lacrosse Tournament Pairings Released

Indiana Tech takes the top seed in the 2019 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Lacrosse Tournament. The Warriors won the regular season championship with a 9-0 league record and receives a bye in the first round of the tournament. Regular season runner-up Lawrence Tech sits as the tournament's second seed and also receives a bye. Concordia took the third seed while three teams tied for for the fourth spot. Siena Heights, Lourdes, and Cleary all finished with a 5-4 WHAC record. SHU won the first tiebreaker based on the best overall record versus teams No. 1-6 in the league to take the fourth seed and Lourdes beat out Cleary based on head-to-head for the fifth seed. 

Indiana Tech won the very first WHAC tournament in 2013 and Lawrence Tech has won the last two tournaments (2016, 2018) - there was no conference tournament held in 2017. The first round is set for Tuesday, April 23 on the higher seeds. Semifinals are Thursday, April 25 with the championship set for Saturday, April 27. The winner of the WHAC Tournament receives the league's automatic berth to the NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Invitational Tournament May 8-11 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
