Apparently Rodger Wyland knew of Siena hire before school

If we're to believe what we heard on TV and radio and read on Twitter, Rodger Wyland had identified the new Siena College basketball coach before the search committee or the man the school eventually hired did.
Wyland, longtime sports director at WNYT (NBC-13) and co-host of "Big Board Sports" on WTMM (104.5 FM), reported April 26 that Jamion Christian "is the new head coach of the Siena men's basketball program." That appeared to be news to Siena, whose officials quickly notified other media outlets that no hire had been made.
That remained the case through the weekend and into Tuesday, when the school reached out to Christian and negotiated a contract.
It didn't happen April 26. It didn't happen over the weekend.
