Best Of GS So Far
Since it's Christmas, I thought it would be cool to share some of this season's highlights. Records were broken and history was made.
Sure, the start to this season hasn't been as great as in previous years, but as we all know, it's all about reaching the playoffs and going from there.
So, here are some of the Warriors' best moments of the season so far. There's only one place to start...
Klay's Three-Point Record
The Warriors played the Chicago Bulls at the United Centre. GS were on the back of a four-game winning streak, heading to Chicago full of confidence.
It proved to be a game that would go down in the record books.
Firstly, Klay Thompson broke Steph Curry's record of making 13 three-point shots by making 14 of his own.
His teammates were feeding him the ball as often as they could, with Klay constantly on the move outside the arc and looking for space to get a shot away.
When that 14th shot went in, you could see how much he enjoyed it. Even Steph looked happy that his buddy had surpassed him.
To be honest, I wouldn't even be surprised to see this record broken by the Splash Brothers again in the near future.
92 First Half Points
In the game that saw Klay break the three-point shot record, the Golden State Warriors also broke the franchise's record of points scored in the first half.
Klay Thompson scored 36 and made 10 three-pointers in the half, which also happens to be another NBA record. Steph Curry also contributed to 22 points.
It seemed like no one could miss. Golden State ended up shooting 17-27 3pt (63%), which is, again, a record for three-pointers.
KD Goes To Town
While Klay and Steph fight it out between themselves for the king of threes, KD has decided he's going to just score over 28 points a game.
KD went off on October 26 against the New York Knicks at Maddison Square Garden. The formed OKC player dropped 41 points.
A particular highlight happened deep in the fourth quarter. Durant dribbles the ball in transition to the 25-yeard mark. Off-balance and still on the move, KD releases an unstoppable three, causing the bench and crowd to go wild in disbelief.
Anything They Can Do, Steph Can Do Better
With Steph Curry in this mood, you can count on the over under betting lines to be set high.
I'll keep this one brief.
IThese highlights include THAT three against the Wizards with THAT celebration. You're welcome.
Boogie Dunks On KD
Ok, so this isn't too much of a season highlight but it was funny to watch. Boogie Cousins continues his road to recovery and managed to go through a full training session with the first team.
Boogie then fancied a 1v1 with KD and what followed was brilliant. Cousins received the ball, took it to the hole, paused and decided to dunk on Kevin Durant.
Luckily, a fan managed to record the move for us all to see:
Think I've missed anything? Let me know in the comments!
