Duke Rips NCCU 55-13

The Blue Devils rolled in this one, as expected.

Although Duke won

the Blue Devils relaxed a bit early and paid a price.

After darting out to a quick 13-0 lead, Duke went up 20-0 before allowing NC Central to score on a 10-play drive. Then quarterback Quentin Harris fumbled and the Eagles’ Jordan McRae ran it back 55 yards for a touchdown to make a game of it at 20-13.

The second half was a very different story as Duke held NCCU to negative yardage deep into the second half while tacking another 35 points on the scoreboard.

Injuries were a concern again as Brittain Brown left with an apparent arm or hand injury and Harris’s leg crumpled during a tackle. However, he was riding a bike and smiling on the sideline so presumably it wasn’t too serious.
