How to watch Bears vs. Packers on 'Sunday Night Football’ online
Green Bay is 13-2 in last 15 games against Chicago
The Green Bay Packers will try to continue their recent success against the Chicago Bears in the season opener for both on ‘Sunday Night Football.’ The game is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC (live streaming available through FuboTV, NBC Sports).
Green Bay has beaten their NFC North rival Chicago 13 times in their last 15 meetings, including winning all four games in 2016-17 combined.
Aaron Rodgers has a pair of new tight ends at his disposal in the red zone after Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis signed with the Packers as free agents. How much Rodgers will have to deal with Khalil Mack‘s pass rush remains to be seen.
The Bears traded for Mack on Sept. 1, landing the two-time First Team All-Pro linebacker from the Raiders. Mack, who amassed 36½ sacks in the last three seasons, signed a six-year, $141 million contract extension with Chicago, with $90 million guaranteed.
But after missing nearly all of training camp, how much Mack will play Sunday night remains to be seen. New Bears coach Matt Nagy was noncommittal about Mack’s availability on Sunday, saying only there was “a good shot” his new star will play in Week 1.
“Aaron Donald was in that same predicament last year, signing right before his first game that he played with a new defense,” Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said, per the Associated Press. “He played 48 plays, some other guys have played in the 20s. “I think everybody’s individual but it’s something we’re going to have to manage and keep an eye on.”
