Draymond Green to miss Team USA minicamp

Warriors forward Draymond Green will miss USA Basketball’s minicamp in Las Vegas, The Chronicle has confirmed.

The Undefeated’s Marc Spears broke the news.

Of the 35 players selected for the national team pool, five — Curry, Green, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and DeMarcus Cousins — are on Golden State. Durant and Thompson are expected to attend minicamp. Cousins will miss minicamp as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury, and Curry has opted to sit out minicamp to spend time with his newborn son, Canon.

Twelve of the 35 players selected for the national team pool will ultimately be picked to compete at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
