[Softball] Threshers close regular season with two tough losses against OKWU

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel Threshers (19-22, 10-12) closed out their regular season schedule today by hosting the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles (26-16, 15-5). The Threshers knew they'd be in for a battle, and it showed in both games of the afternoon's double-header. It was a defensive struggle for both sides during Game 1, with both teams posting goose eggs until an Eagle run in the fifth inning. That proved to be the only run needed, as Bethel took the 1-0 loss. Game 2 featured a slight uptick in hitting and runs scored. Bethel got down 5-2 before they started sniffing a comeback in the bottom of the sixth. An unfortunate base-running mistake ended Bethel's hopes, as they took a 5-4 loss.
