[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Honors Released
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced its conference honors for women's golf. Madonna's Karen Zambrano won Player of the Year and UNOH head coach Dawn West was named Coach of the Year in the fall. All-Conference Teams were also announced after the league's fall season while other awards were decided at the spring event. This spring, UNOH's Devaki Anatha Ganesh was named Newcomer of the Year and was the individual medalist at the event and Aquinas head coach Lauren Grogan was voted as the Champions of Character Coach.
In addition, All-Academic was awarded to 28 juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA (and at their institution for one full year) and the Champions of Character Team featured one athlete from each institution who best exemplies the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sporstmanship, and servant leadership.
