Spurs avoid elimination with Game 4 win at home
All the sights, sounds and action from Game 4.
There will be no sweep. At least not in San Antonio.
The Spurs survived the Warriors on Sunday, 103-90, to avoid elimination and force Game 5 in Oakland next week. Five different San Antonio players scored in double figures, led by 22 from LaMarcus Aldridge and 16 off the bench from Manu Ginobili. Together, they were able to fend off Kevin Durant’s 34-point, 13-rebound game.
Golden State has the tools to end this series at home when the series returns to The Bay for Game 5. But for at least one more game, the Spurs remain alive. Game 4 had its wild moments. Here’s how it played out on Sunday.
End of 3rd quarter: Spurs 77, Warriors 71
David West was assessed a technical foul, but when the camera cut over to him, he was in the tunnel riding the bike.
David West just got a technical while riding the bike in the tunnel = LEGEND!! pic.twitter.com/uS7oomKcHK

According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, he fled the scene of a crime.
Referees just called a technical foul on David West, who sprinted into the tunnel after that last call. Warriors bench livid, I'm assuming arguing that West always goes to the tunnel to ride the bike a few minutes before entering. Weird.

West was not amused.
Meanwhie, LaMarcus Aldridge has legit worked himself into becoming a consistent three-point shooter.
LaMarcus from long range, he's got a team-high 1️⃣3️⃣ points #GoSpursGo pic.twitter.com/s6v6sQEQYO

The Spurs are winning despite surrendering 19 offensive rebounds and shooting 41 percent from the field. How is that possible?
It might not be for much longer. The Warriors are coming.
HALFTIME: Spurs 56, Warriors 42
Maybe the Warriors watched the Pelicans-Trail Blazers series and thought sweeping an opponent was gonna be a breeze. Through two quarters, that has been furthest from the case.
Golden State’s been sloppy, and the Spurs have taken advantage. They’ve hit seven threes in the first half and are moving the ball we expect of a Gregg Popovich-coached team.
We hit 7️⃣ 3-pointers in the 1st half, get ready for half No. ✌️#GoSpursGo pic.twitter.com/CSs7ZgQe3U

1:05 — Dejounte Murray is out here spraying threes. The Warriors are trying to leave him open because traditionally he isn’t a shooter, but he’s 3-for-3 from deep in the first half.
10:11 — Another turnover for Golden State. That’s eight for the Warriors and zero for the Spurs. Probably not the best way to win a game, right?
End of 1st quarter: Spurs 30, Warriors 22
The Spurs are attacking early and playing active defense. The Warriors aren’t really putting their foot on the gas just yet, but they've been known to have lax first quarters. This one is just getting started.
