McCaw is going to be ok! But he joins Curry, Casspi, Iguodala on injured reserve list

Well, if you told me that the Warriors were warming up for the playoffs with their likely starting roster for the playoffs featuring Quinn Cook and Javale McGee, I think that would come pretty close. And yet...here we are.
First and foremost: Patrick McCaw is going to be ok
After getting wheeled off of the court in a stretcher last night, most of the NBA went to bed last night thinking of Patrick McCaw and hoping for a speedy recovery and good news. Thankfully, the basketball gods took a break from wrecking preseason predictions and showed a bit of mercy (finally). McCaw has been officially diagnosed with a “lumbar spine contusion.” Which, while exceedingly vague and not all that detailed, offers at least the comfort that nothing is broken.

Secondly, what the heck are we going to do for wing minutes?
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the Golden State Warriors have a bunch of significant injuries that are going to force them to reshuffle their rotation.
Already playing without Steph Curry and Omri Casspi for the near term, we were hoping that Andre Iguodala would be back available for tonight’s game in order to fill some of the minutes. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, but at least it does sound like Iguodala is progressing and nearing a return.
It’s a knee issue - a troublesome body part for the aging Iguodala - so expect the Warriors to be a bit extra cautious.

As you may notice, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are both listed as probable - which is good, but indicative of them both still not being at 100%
The Suns weren’t all that good to begin with and between injuries and tanking they aren’t likely to present much of a threat, even to a depleted Warriors roster tonight.
