Siena women's basketball looks to its new captain

Siena senior guard Kollyns Scarbrough described herself as the "known crier" on the women's basketball team, but she managed to keep her emotions in check during the Senior Day ceremony last Sunday.

Now it's starting to sink in for Scarbrough that she's nearing the end of a very productive college career as the third-seeded Saints prepare to take on No. 6 Niagara in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal at noon Saturday at Times Union Center.

"I know my Senior Night I was dry-eyed and I was like, 'Oh, I'm fine,' " Scarbrough said. "But now that it's the playoffs and it can be one-and-done, it kind of hit me in practice that these are my last few practices before I'm done with my career at Siena.
