[Men's Basketball] Bearcats Score Over the Century Mark for the Second Time in a Row in Win ...

The Bearcats traveled to Louisville to take on Simmons College of Kentucky and came back home with a 104-80 win on Monday Night.  The Bearcats jumped out to a 54-43 lead at halftime and continued their hot shooting in the second half to go over the century mark for the second game in a row.  Brescia shot 51.4% from the field to Simmons shooting 42.9%.  Jordan Cooper-Livers led the Bearcats with 27 points scored.  All five starters were in double digits.  Dillon Geralds added 22 points and 18 rebounds, Brandon Stacker added 17 Tavon Johnson added 15, and Kayode Daboiku added 13 pts and 11 rebounds.  Brescia will travel to Midway University on Thursday in a must win situation as the Bearcats are alive to still earn a playoff spot for the conference tournament.  "Our main focus has been to get into the conference tournament.  Every game is important with how close the league is.  I am happy with the win but we still need to play better defense and Thursday is a huge game for us" stated Head Coach Brian Skortz.  The Bearcats current hold the 4th spot in the West Division for the playoffs.
