NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (4-11, 2-7 G-MAC) defeated, Walsh University (8-6, 5-3 G-MAC) 60-57 at Trojan Fieldhouse on Saturday.

The Trojans started the game on an 11-3 run until the 3:31 mark in the first quarter … both teams the rest of the quarter scored five points apiece to give TNU a 16-9 edge after one quarter of play … in the second quarter Trevecca went on a 6-0 run from 7:19 to 5:21 to give them a 28-18 lead … WU responded with a 16-0 run that lasted from 5:21 in the second quarter to 7:45 in the third quarter to give WU a 34-28 … the Trojans went on a 7-2 run from 7:45 to 4:22 to cut the Cavalier deficit to one 36-35 … the third quarter ended 44-43 Walsh … the Trojans went on a 7-2 run from 7:57 to 4:41 in the fourth quarter to give them a five point lead 55-50 … TNU won the game 60-57

The Trojans will be on the road to face Ohio Valley University (0-10, 0-6 G-MAC) on Thursday, January 11th at 4:30 PM for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference game. This will be the ninth meeting between the two schools in the NCAA era. Trevecca holds a 7-1 record versus Ohio Valley including winning the last two meetings.
