Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence says ‘f*** them refs’ after a lack of holding calls vs. Giants
Lawrence will be hearing from the NFL after this one.
The Dallas Cowboys escaped East Rutherford with a much needed win to keep their postseason hopes alive, but it didn’t come without some controversy.
After the game, DeMarcus Lawrence — who leads the NFL in sacks — criticized officials for a lack of holding calls in the Cowboys’ past five games:

“I ain’t see a holding call in the last five games, and it’s ridiculous that the refs are out here just looking at me getting tackled by offensive linemen,” he said. “Like, come on. If you’re going to be out there, do your job. That’s the main thing. I feel like it’s unfair.”
Lawrence added, “I’ve got a family to come home to. So if you’re trying to protect quarterbacks, you’ve got to protect me, too.” He concluded with, “But shit, fuck them refs, and that’s all I got to say.”
In the five games leading up to Sunday’s game against the Giants, Lawrence has had his coldest stretch of the season. In the first eight weeks of the season, Lawrence had at least one sack in each game.
Since then, he’s had three sacks that came in two games. On Sunday he had no sacks or tackles for loss, with four total tackles, three of them solo.
