THIS WEEK
· The Dakota State University (S.D.) Trojan men's basketball team (2-1 overall record) heads to the Sanford Pentagon's Heritage Court (2210 W Pentagon Pl.) this weekend for a pair of games.
· Dakota State is the host for the 2nd Annual South Dakota NAIA Basketball Classic, featuring three other NAIA schools from the state of South Dakota.
· The South Dakota NAIA Basketball will act as a season kick-off for the four schools, giving the teams an opportunity to showcase their talent early in the season.
· The two Great Plains Athletic Conference teams (Dakota Wesleyan and Mount Marty) compete against two teams from the North Star Athletic Association Conference (Dakota State and Presentation).
· The Trojans play Mount Marty (1-0) on the first day of the classic on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
· On Sunday, DSU takes on No. 10-ranked Dakota Wesleyan (2-0 overall record). The game is scheduled for 6 p.m.
· Dakota State went 1-1 record in last year's South Dakota NAIA Baseball Classic.
· The Trojans return home Wednesday to kick off their four-game home stand versus Midland (Neb.) (1-0). Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at DSU Fieldhouse.
