[Women's Basketball] ERAU, UCM Open with Two Victories

Embry-Riddle and No. 24 UC Merced won a pair of games in last week's opening action of the 2017-18 California Pacific Conference women's basketball preseason.  The Eagles won two games before any other team but Simpson had seen action, going on the road to rout Southwest and then coming home to top Bethesda before an energized home crowd.  The Bobcats traveled to Portland, Ore., to open their campaign, and returned home with solid wins over Multnomah and Warner Pacific.  Benedictine-Mesa, Cal Maritime, and Antelope Valley all recorded wins in the opening week of the season.
