FSU's on upset alert against Duke and in danger of falling to 1-4

0

An ugly start to the season is getting worse for the Noles.

It might just be going from bad to worse for 1-3 Florida State. They’re on the ropes against Duke tied at 10 in the fourth quarter. James Blackmon hasn’t been terrible today, but this pick was a pretty bad ball.

Florida State’s going for win No. 2, and Duke’s going for win No. 5 in the bizarro world of today’s ACC. Florida State went into halftime leading by seven, and it was somehow the biggest lead the Noles have had all season.

Florida State has never lost to Duke, but FSU is in danger of having that streak snapped.

The Seminoles are 19-0 in the all-time series, outscoring Duke 946-286. Two of those victories, in 2006 and 2007, were vacated.

FSU has scored under 41 points just twice, in a 25-6 victory back in 2007 and a 29-7 win in 2004. The ’Noles average 49.8 points per game. In comparison, Duke averages just over 15 points per game and have never scored more then 26 points.

After losing to Miami last week, it would be the second snapped streak against an ACC opponent.
