Tennessee loses a SNAP BUTTFUMBLE to Georgia
The center’s butt intercepted the snap.
You know Buttfumble, obviously. But have you met Snap Buttfumble?
Rough exchange here between Tennessee center Jashon Robertson and quarterback Quinten Dormady. You see, what the problem is, I think, is that as the ball was being transferred from Robertson’s hands to Dormady’s, Robertson’s butt intercepted it. Robertson is a listed 6’3 and 300 pounds, and the ball was stopped in its tracks. It tried to keep moving toward Dormady, and the QB almost corralled that sucker. But he did not, and Georgia fell on the ball for a valuable turnover. Rough!
As of this writing, Tennessee has not scored a point and was trailing 10-0, and that fumble’s the best metaphor yet for the Vols’ offensive struggles. This happens every now and again, and the Vols aren’t the first team to ever do it.
There was no word on whether or not UGA took the ball and dunked it into Tennessee’s special trashcan for turnovers.
