What time does the race start?
Sunday’s race is set to begin with the green flag dropping at approximately 6:15 p.m. ET.
How can I watch the Bojangles’ Southern 500?
NBCSN will televise Sunday’s race, with Rick Allen on the call alongside Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton. In addition, during a portion of the race Dale Jarrett will be joined by longtime NASCAR announcers Ken Squier and Ned Jarrett. Race coverage begins at 6 p.m.
The race can also be watched online through NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.
Where is this race?
The Bojangles’ Southern 500 is at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina, the lone race of the NASCAR season at this track. Martin Truex Jr. is the defending champion here.
What’s at stake?
Thirteen drivers have already clinched playoff spots, with three left up for grabs with two races to go. The drivers head to Richmond next week for the Federated Auto Parts 400. At the moment, Chase Elliott, Matt Kenseth and Jamie McMurray have the top three points among non-winners in 2017, with Clint Bowyer among those looking to move up.
Quotable
“I don’t give up until they tell me it’s down and out. So we’ve got Darlington this weekend, Richmond, a good track for us, after that to wrap it up. So, hopefully, we can get in Victory Lane and hopefully we can race ’em.”
-Clint Bowyer, earlier in the week
