Dominican Trip Off, Surgery On For Coach K

This one is going to be a knee surgery

Coach K is going in for a knee replacement surgery and the Dominican trip is off.

It’s obviously a major development but the good news is that he says he’ll be totally ready for the start of practice this fall.

Krzyzewski said this in light of Thursday’s developments:

"I could kind of muck it out for the Dominican trip, but for the entire season, it would not be appropriate to do this. So, we're cancelling the trip. I'll have enough time then to be ready to go full speed the first day of practice the last day of September."

It’s his sixth surgery in the last 16 months.
