Cosby’s accuser testifies in long-awaited confrontation
Bill Cosby’s accuser faced off against him in court Tuesday and described, in dramatic and graphic detail, how he allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2004.
Andrea Constand, a former Temple University basketball coach, said Cosby was “somebody I trusted, a mentor” when he handed her three blue pills and told her to take them during a get-together at his suburban Philadelphia home.
The entertainer is charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault stemming from the sexual encounter, which the prosecution says was not consensual.
Earlier, the mother of another woman who has accused Cosby of sexual assault said that her daughter was so shaken by her interaction with him that she could no longer form meaningful social bonds.
Cosby is not on trial for any alleged incidents with Johnson.
The defense is eager to erode Johnson’s credibility and her account of a Cosby assault.
