Malachi de Sousa to leave UAlbany basketball program

Malachi de Sousa, a 6-foot-6 forward who started much of his career with the University at Albany men's basketball program, has entered the NCAA transfer portal, several recruiting websites reported late Wednesday afternoon.
"Hopeful that a fresh start will be good for Malachi," coach Will Brown wrote in a text to the Times Union. "He is a good kid. We wish him the best and will assist him in any way that we can."
