Badminton-India's world championships organisers hire monkey whisperers
Monkey mimics will be employed to deter primates at the upcoming badminton World Championships in New Delhi. Organizers are using langur monkey sounds to keep rhesus monkeys away from the venue. Pigeons also posed a problem, leading to court fouling during a previous event. A non-toxic gel has been applied to stadium areas to prevent birds from roosting. Organizers state that all issues faced previously have now been addressed.
