Mookie Goes Yard In The Ninth, Red Sox Salvage 4-1 Win

It was starting to look like the Red Sox would squander another victory in Milwaukee and fall to .500 on the year. Tied at 1-1 in the 8th inning, Boston left the bases juiced without scoring. Then in the ninth, with two on, Mookie Betts came to the rescue—launching a three-run HR in an eventual 4-1 win over the Brew Crew. Eduardo Rodriguez pitched extremely well again—going six innings, giving up just one earned run on three hits in the no-decision. And Craig Kimbrel continued his ridiculous run—going 1.2 innings and striking out five for his second win of the year. Joe Kelly and Matt Barnes combined to pitch 1.1 innings—giving up just a hit and a walk. This extremely needed win will hopefully carry over for the brief, 3-game homestand with Tampa starting tomorrow night.
