The Phillies have signed former Mariners and Rangers utility man Dylan Moore to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. He can make up to $3.25 million if he’s in the majors in 2026.

Moore, 33, has played all around the diamond throughout his career. He’ll likely slot into a similar role Weston Wilson occupied in 2025 as a right-handed bench bat capable of playing around the infield and the corner outfield spots if he makes the team. He could also platoon in left field with Brandon Marsh, though the Phillies have mentioned Otto Kemp as a potential fit for that role. Moore had a down season against lefties in 2025, batting .167 with a .590 OPS. He is a career .216 hitter with a .727 OPS against left-handed pitching.

Moore won the American League Gold Glove Award for utility players in 2024. He was designated for assignment by the Mariners last August and signed a minor league contract with the Rangers, the team that originally drafted him in 2015, shortly after he was released. In 243 major league plate appearances in 2025, Moore slashed .201/.267/.374 with 11 home runs and 25 RBIs. Six of his 11 home runs came in April.

A popular teammate during his time in Seattle, Moore should fit in well on a Phillies team in need of depth at multiple positions.
