Barranquilla came from behind to win the rubber match, 8-2, at the Once de Noviembre Stadium in Cartagena. The Caimanes used a six-run top of the sixth, capped by a two-RBI single by third baseman Carlos Arroyo to take control of the game and the series.

Arroyo batted leadoff and went 3-for-5, scoring one run and batting in three. He earned the series MVP Award.

Arroyo, a 24-year-old Minor League Baseball (MiLB) player in the Atlanta Braves organisation, gave the Caimanes a dramatic 2-1 win in Game One. Barranquilla was trailing 1-0 at the Edgar Renteria Stadium when Arroyo turned the third pitch by reliever Guillermo Zuniga into a two-run walk-off home run.

Arroyo batted third in Game Two, which ended with another close score, 3-2. He went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
