Hall of Famer Bill Slack passes away

2002 Hall of Famer Bill Slack passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at his home in Murrells Inlet, S C.. Bill was born May 3, 1933 in Petrolia, Ontario.

He played minor league baseball from 1952-66 and reached AAA before retiring to concentrate on coaching. Bill Managed in the minors for 17 years between 1961-1984 winning 5 league Championships and made one last appearance as a Manager in 2001 in the Texas minor league system.

From 1985-97 he was a coach in the Braves Minor League system.
