Mets Had Second-Best Minor League Organizational Record In 2025
It was certainly not the ending to 2025 that the big-league club wanted to see. However, elsewhere in the New York Mets’ system teams flourished. So much so, the organizational record from the Single-A through the Triple-A levels was the second-best of the 30 organizations.
Only the Detroit Tigers outdid the Mets, as Detroit’s four minor league teams combined for a stunning 61.24% win percentage and 335 wins. The Mets trailed them with 316 wins and a 57.77% win percentage. Behind the Mets, the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Tampa Bay Rays all featured win percentages around 55%. Nesting at the bottom of the rankings were the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Angels, each posting win percentages around 42%.
As the win percentage indicates, it was a great season for Mets affiliates across the board. Each team, outside of Syracuse (Triple-A), made the playoffs with both Binghamton (Double-A) and Brooklyn (High-A) winning their respective league titles. St. Lucie (Single-A) came up just a tad short, losing in the first round of the playoffs.
As for the rest of the National League East, the Mets and Miami Marlines were the only teams in the top-10 in win percentage. Miami, specifically, ranked 10th with a win percentage of 51.82%. The Philadelphia Phillies trailed Miami at 14th while the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals were near the bottom of the rankings at No. 26 and No.27, respectively.
