Alice Lloyd College Hosts Annual Trunk or Treat Event
Alice Lloyd College hosted its annual Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, October 30th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Due to weather concerns, the event was held indoors at the Perry Campus Center, but that didn’t stop the fun! Hundreds of community members, students, faculty, and staff came out to enjoy an evening full of candy, costumes, and creativity.
The event was organized by ALC’s Student Services Department, who worked hard to ensure a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. In addition to candy and themed displays, the evening featured Corney Twists, a local balloon artist group that shaped festive balloon animals and other creations.
Several student clubs, organizations, and athletic teams participated by decorating tables and dressing up in festive and imaginative themes. The ALC Marketing Department joined in the fun with a “Super Mario Brothers” theme, featuring work-study students dressed as beloved characters from the classic video game series. Their colorful costumes and decorations were a hit with visitors of all ages.
Marketing student supervisor Allie Hanlon, who has participated in Trunk or Treat for the past three years, shared, “Trunk or Treat is one of my favorite events on campus! We had a great time bonding as a work study, handing out candy, and interacting with the kids from the community. It’s always fun to see all of their creative costumes and how excited they are for Halloween!”
Student Services Coordinator and Dean of Women Kim Cornett added, “Trunk-or-Treat was a wonderful opportunity for the College and community to come together and share laughter, joy, and a little bit of spookiness!”
Alice Lloyd College extends its gratitude to the campus community and all our guests for making this year’s Trunk or Treat a tremendous success. The College community looks forward to welcoming everyone back for another night of Halloween fun along the banks of Caney Creek next year.
