Baseball drops 2026 spring schedule

0 2

Stanford baseball is gearing up for its second season in the ACC, announcing a 52-game slate that will bring 32 contests to the Sunken Diamond. After finishing last season with a respectable overall record of 27-25 but just 11-19 in ACC play, the Cardinal will look to be more competitive in conference play.

The Cardinal open the season Feb. 13–15 in Surprise, Ariz., at the College Baseball Series, hosted by Oregon State. There, Stanford will face off against 2025 College World Series qualifiers Arizona and Oregon State, as well as Michigan, a demanding opening stretch that could define the trajectory of Stanford’s season. The team caps its opening weekend with a road stop at Grand Canyon University on Feb. 16, taking on the Antelopes under desert lights.

Stanford baseball then hosts its traditional series against Cal State Fullerton for four games from Feb. 20–23, followed by an exhibition game against Waseda University of Japan on Feb. 25 — a nod to baseball’s global reach and a unique opportunity for fans to see an overseas powerhouse in action. The regular season continues with a three-game series against Fresno State Feb. 27 to March 1 and Nevada March 2, before the real grind begins with ACC play.

Conference action starts on the road against Wake Forest March 6–8, followed by a home stand that includes Pitt March 13–15 and Utah Valley March 21–23, the latter featuring a March 22 doubleheader.

ACC games continue with a three-game series at Virginia Tech, March 27–29, before a mid-week game on April 1 against San Jose State. That weekend, the Clemson Tigers, a team fresh off consecutive NCAA postseason runs, arrive for a three-game series at Sunken Diamond.

On April 12–14, Stanford is in Kentucky for a three-game series against Louisville. For another mid-week game, Stanford hosts Santa Clara on April 15 before visiting the Broncos on April 21. Miami comes to The Farm for three, April 17–19, and Florida State is in town April 24–26.

Entering the home stretch of the season, UC Davis visits the Sunken Diamond on April 27 before the Cardinal travel to Notre Dame to complete their Eastern Circuit May 1–3. Two final matchups at Sunken Diamond, University of San Francisco on May 6 and Saint Mary’s on May 12, frame Stanford’s last home set against NC State on May 8–10. Then it’s across the Bay for the much anticipated series in Berkeley, May 14–16.

All 16 ACC squads will convene in Charlotte, N.C., for the ACC Tournament beginning May 19, with NCAA Regionals set for May 29.
