Morning Briefing: Jen Pawol to Become MLB’s First Female Umpire
Good morning, Mets fans!
Get ready for another historic weekend in MLB history. Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that umpire Jen Pawol will umpire three games in the Marlins-Braves series this weekend, including the doubleheader on Saturday and the series finale on Sunday. She will be behind home plate on Sunday.
When Pawol takes the field, she will become MLB’s first female umpire in a regular-season game. Congratulations, Jen!
