As for the Mets, it was an exciting night for Pete Alonso and the Amazins as Aloonso smoked milestone home run No. 250 on Saturday night in the Mets’ 12-6 win over the Giants at Citi Field.
The Mets and Giants conclude their series on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. EDT. It will be left-handed pitcher Carson Whisenhunt (0-0, 7.20 ERA, 3 SO) on the mound for the Giants against right-handed pitcher Frankie Montas (3-1, 5.46 ERA, 26 SO) on the mound for the Mets.
