Christopher Chikodroff is the MVP of the U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025

Christopher Chikodroff is the MVP of the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup 2025 presented by RAXUS. He helped the United States win their third consecutive World Title playing nine games at various positions, right field, left field and first base. Chikodroff went 16-for-30, a .533 batting average, with ten RBIs. He played right field, left field and first base.

"It feels awesome," said Chikodroff after the ceremony. "I can't stop the grind, ever. I can't say how great it is to be the MVP of this World Cup."

Chikodroff had in his teammate Kristian Valadez the fiercest competitor for the MVP honours.
"We pick each other up," he commented. "We went loud when each big moment came. It's just awesome."

How does it feel to play in front of your parents? Is it more fun or pressure?
"It's a ton of fun. Playing in front of them, making your parents happy, it's just awesome."

During the awarding ceremony the WBSC disclosed the All-World Team.

The All-World Team features two players representing Mexico, two from Japan, two from Chinese Taipei and two from the USA, including Chikodroff, one of the three outfielders. Cuba is the only team represented that didn't participate in the Super Round.

The WBSC also announced the Individual Awards.

Christopher Chikodroff earned leading hitter's honours.

Shotaro Hashimoto didn't allow a run, won two games and pitched 12 innings, so he received the awards for the best Earned Run Average (ERA) anf for the best win/loss ratio (2-0).

Kristian Valadez led the tournament in home runs (4) and runs batted in (20).

Luis Parra (Dominican Republic) had the most runs scored (12).

Korea's Leo Yang led in stolen bases with 10.

Korean catcher Dnghyeon Min received the Best Defensive Player honours.

Secretary General Beng-Choo Low and Executive Director Michael Schmidt represented the WBSC in the ceremony. Deputy Mayor Tze-shan Yeh represented the city of Tainan. In contrast, the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association (CTBA) and Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) President Jeffrey Koo Jr. represented the Local Organising Committee.

"While I congratulate the winners, the United States, for their extraordinary performance, I want to tell second-place Japan that I understand your disappointment, but keep in mind that finishing second in a world event is a huge achievement," said Miss Low.

On behalf of the WBSC and President Riccardo Fraccari, Beng Choo Low thanked the city of Tainan, the LOC, the "hundreds of volunteers" and in particular the International Baseball Stadiums and Training Centres (ASPAC) ground crews for their work.

"You are the unsung heroes of this U-12 Baseball World Cup," Miss Low said.
