Tampa Bay loses a league-leading 16th game in their last 22

The font size and boldness is getting larger for the writing on the wall of the 2025 Tampa Bay Rays.

Yandy Diaz broke the 0-0 tie with a patented opposite-field laser to right-center field, a solo shot. 1-0 Tampa Bay in the top of the sixth.

That was about the only good that came from tonight’s contest. With the July 2025 Rays, the bad usually comes right after the good.

In the bottom of the sixth, Taylor Walls made a costly two-run error to give the Reds the lead.

Josh Lowe had a pinch-hit RBI single in the top of the seventh to pull the Rays even at 2.

In the bottom half, Bryan Baker was warming up and had a calf issue and had to be replaced, and a few a batters after, Elly De La Cruz delivered the dagger with a two run single off of Garrett Cleavinger.
