Mets Minors Recap: Alvarez Ends Triple-A Stint on High Note

0 10

Francisco Alvarez is officially returning to the Mets, per league sources, as first reported by Mike Puma of the New York Post. In 19 games with Triple-A Syracuse, he hit .299 with 11 home runs, 24 RBIs and a 1.233 OPS. Now poised for a return as soon as Monday vs. the Angels, the Mets are hopeful Alvarez’s momentum at the plate will carry over to the majors, injecting life into an offense in need of a spark.
