The stars shine tonight!

The 95th MLB All-Star Game will take place tonight from Truist Park in Atlanta. The American League has a slight edge in the all-time series at 48-44 with four ties, and they have won 10 of the last 11 games.

Detroit’s Tarik Skubal faces Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes to start the game.

Tonight’s game will be the first Midsummer’s Classic to use the automated ball-strike (ABS) challenge system, which has been used in the minors since 2022. Each team will have two challenges, and correct challenges retained. Challenges can be made by a player tapping his hat or helmet.

The Royals have four representatives, matching the number they sent last year. This year it will be shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., third baseman Maikel Garcia, and pitchers Kris Bubic and Carlos Estévez.
