Consensus building? Baseball America also projects Jamie Arnold to White Sox

The experts know a sure thing when they see one: Chicago selecting a lefty; BA joins ESPN seeing the FSU hurler as the guy

A week ago, we wrote on ESPN’s linking Florida State University southpaw Jamie Arnold to the White Sox at No. 10 in Sunday’s MLB draft. Now, eight days later, Baseball America joins the effort, projecting Arnold to Chicago with much the same rationale — the White Sox are eyeing the same players as the nine clubs picking ahead, and no one seems to be seeing a surprise fall out of the Top 9.

The White Sox are dying for a prep shortstop, but both Billy Carlson and JoJo Parker are almost certain to be gone by No. 10.

The plus? Arnold is so highly-regarded that BA imagines him going as high as No. 3.

For those of you tracking other possibilities, BA lists out Kyson Witherspoon, Tyler Bremner, Kayson Cunningham, Gavin Kilen and Jace LaViolette — again, some of whom would have to drop in the publication’s latest draft imagining.

No mention, however, of the hurler Keith Law sees heading to Chicago, Kruz Schoolcraft.

Recent White Sox draft projections at No. 10

ESPN, June 30 Jamie Arnold (LHSP) Florida State University
The Athletic, July 8 Kruz Schoocraft (LHSP/1B), Sunset (Ore.) H.S.
Baseball American, July 9 Jamie Arnold (LHSP) Florida State University
