Mets Minors Recap: Senga Throws 68 Pitches In Rehab Start
Kodai Senga didn’t have his sharpest stuff Saturday, as the 32-year-old allowed three earned runs in 3 2/3 innings of work. Senga is looking to rejoin a Mets rotation that’s been battered badly by injuries since he went down with a hamstring strain on June 12 against the Nationals.

Syracuse Mets (40-46) 3, Worcester Red Sox (43-42) 1
- C Francisco Alvarez 1-for-4, HR, 2 RBI (.795 OPS)
- LF Jared Young 2-for-3, HR, 1 RBI (.875 OPS)
Francisco Alvarez launched his fourth home run in seven games since being optioned, a promising sign that his power is returning. However, he’s still hovering around the Mendoza Line, highlighting the need for more consistent contact.

Dakota Hawkins turned in a strong outing, allowing just one earned run on two hits over three innings while striking out three after taking over for TJ Shook. The homer was his first earned run allowed since May 23.

- LF D’Andre Smith, 2-for-4, HR , 1 RBI (.667 OPS)
- 3B Jacob Reimer 1-for-4, HR, 1 RBI (.852 OPS)
Ryan Clifford and Jacob Reimer went back-to-back in the fourth to get the Rumble Ponies within two runs. D’Andre Smith started the game-tying rally with his fourth homer in the seventh and eventually scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch in the ninth.

In what could be his only rehab start, Senga shook off some rust, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out four and walked two, but also surrendered a home run in the outing. Senga was able to throw 68 pitches.
Following him, Anthony Nunez earned his first win of the season following the walk-off in the ninth.

Brooklyn’s offense went radio silent Saturday, as Hudson Valley blew them out, with a Colin Houck double serving as the lone highlight. With three hits on Friday, and a hit Saturday, Houck is off to a hot start in July after slashing .286/.368/.452 in June.

Jonathan Santucci dazzled through six scoreless innings as he struck out nine and walked three. Since May 16, Santucci ranks fourth among all minor-league pitchers with a 1.35 ERA, going 5-0 over nine games with a WHIP of 0.94.
Single-A
St. Lucie Mets (42-36) 0, Daytona Tortugas (37-42) 2
- RF Yohairo Cuevas, 1-for-2, 2B, 1 BB (.825 OPS)
Yohairo Cuevas provided one of the few bright spots in a quiet day for St. Lucie, going 1-for-2 with a double and a walk in the shutout loss. Cuevas is currently on a seven-game hitting streak.

- RHP Franklin Gomez 3.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K (2.57 ERA)
Irving Cota battled through 4 2/3 innings, giving up two earned runs on eight hits while striking out one. Franklin Gomez followed with three strong frames in relief, allowing just one hit and one walk. Gomez has allowed one earned run in his last 9 1/3 innings of work.
Florida Complex League

- C Julio Zayas, 2-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI (.753 OPS)
- SS Bohan Adderly 2-for-3, 2B, 3B, 1 BB, 1 RBI (.535 OPS)
Bohan Adderly was the star of the show on offense, hitting his third double and his first triple of the season while also driving in a run. Julio Zayas also had a big day at the plate, driving in three and hitting his seventh double of the season.

Jonathan Jimenez turned in a solid outing, striking out three over three scoreless innings. Yuhi Sako followed with two innings of relief, allowing three hits while recording a strikeout.

Adolfo Miranda recorded his 16th RBI of the year and now has seven hits to start the month of July. Second baseman Jose Padilla hit his first triple of the season.

Alvaro Carrillo tossed 3 2/3 innings while giving up three hits and one walk with two strikeouts. Despite surrendering two runs, Deivy Victora earned his fourth win of the season.

- 2B Justin Ramirez 2-for-4, 1 RBI (.799 OPS)
Catcher Yovanny Rodriguez had a big day at the plate, tallying three hits with a double and an RBI. Rodriguez now has five hits in his last three games.

- RHP Anthony Reynoso 3.0 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K (3.72 ERA)
Jean Brito worked through some command issues, walking three but limiting the damage to just one earned run over three innings. Brito has allowed just three earned runs in his last five appearances.
